The Kogi State branch of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has banned all forms of open rallies in the state. This decision was announced by the state chairman, Chief Kingsley Temitope Ogga, in Lokoja.
According to Chief Ogga, the party will restrict all rallies to hall meetings only, like it was done during unveiling that took place in the state, to comply with INEC regulations and security agencies’ guidelines.
This comes amidst plans by an ADC support group to organize a 10,000-man rally in the state. The ADC Kogi State branch urges members and supporters to adhere to this directive, avoiding activities that breach INEC laws or disrupt security.
The party emphasizes its commitment to peaceful and lawful activities, calling on stakeholders to respect electoral process rules.
Signed:
Chief Kingsley Temitope Ogga
State Chairman, ADC Kogi State
