The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has felicitated with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta Central, and Ugo of Okpe Kingdom, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, on his birthday anniversary.
Dafinone described the former commissioner as a consummate political tactician and an enduring force in Delta State politics.
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday to mark Akpeki’s birthday, Dafinone said the occasion offered a fitting moment to celebrate a man whose political journey has been defined by courage, strategy and unwavering commitment to public service.
The senator noted that Chief Akpeki’s contributions to the growth of democracy and party politics in Delta State remained significant and enduring, spanning decades of active engagement and leadership.
He recalled that as a former Member of the House of Representatives and a former Commissioner in Delta State, Akpeki brought depth, experience and purpose to governance, demonstrating a strong grasp of policy formulation, grassroots mobilisation and inclusive leadership.
“His strategic insight has continued to shape political discourse and strengthen party cohesion in Delta State,” Dafinone said.
Beyond his past public offices, the senator described Akpeki as a stabilising force within the APC, noting that he has remained a rallying point for party members, offering guidance, wisdom and mentorship to both emerging and established political actors.
According to him, Akpeki’s leadership as Chairman of the APC in Delta Central reflects resilience and a deep understanding of the political terrain, qualities that have reinforced the party’s structure and presence in the district.
