The Dean of the Postgraduate School, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Professor Sunny Awhefeada, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro.
Awhefeada, a professor of English and Literary Studies, was announced as the incoming SDU Vice Chancellor on Tuesday.
He is a Fellow of the Association of Nigerian Authors (FANA) and a member of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (MNAL).
The university don recently delivered DELSU’s 117th inaugural lectures Series titled “The Literature of Our State: An Evolutionary Engagement with Modern Nigerian Literature.”
He is a renowned writer and columnist for several national newspapers, including NIGER DELTA TODAY, where he has been contributing articles since 2019.
Awhefeada has also held several administrative positions at DELSU.
