The Kano State Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Hussaini Isa Mai Riga, has accused Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of attempting to take over the party and bend its direction toward the control of a few powerful interests.
Mai Riga made the allegation during an interview with Premier on Monday, warning that the party must not be reduced to a private political vehicle for any individual or group.
His statement has added fresh tension to the unfolding political realignment in Kano, as power blocs continue to battle for influence ahead of 2027.
