There’s no doubt that Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi by his teeming supporters, has achieved a historic dual milestone with his celebration of 25th wedding anniversary with his ever-beautiful and amiable wife, Chief (Mrs) Temitope Adeola, on May 26, 2026, almost simultaneously with his landslide victory recorded a few days earlier in the just-concluded primary election of the All Progressives Congress from which he emerged the party’s governorship candidate for Ogun State in the 2027 general elections.
He scored a massive 304,055 votes in the direct primary election the ruling APC in the state was compelled to conduct by a recalcitrant aspirant, who scored a “perfect zero votes” at the end of the statewide process. The APC in the state had earlier officially adopted Senator Adeola as its consensus governorship candidate.
Although the couple’s silver jubilee can be aptly described as a partnership built on grace, it’s also a family milestone that bears strong strategic implications for the APC governorship flagbearer’s forthcoming campaigns ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election.
