The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections, Engr. Solomon Oloche Eigege, popularly known as Oloche’woche, has paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of Nigeria’s democracy for their sacrifices, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the enthronement of democratic governance in the country.
In a Democracy Day message to the people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Engr. Eigege noted that June 12 serves as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices made by patriotic Nigerians who fought for justice, freedom, equity, and the right of citizens to choose their leaders through the ballot box.
According to him, democracy remains the best system of government because it gives the people a voice and provides an avenue for leaders to be held accountable for their actions.
While congratulating Nigerians on the occasion, the ADC candidate urged the people of Apa/Agatu not to lose hope despite the numerous challenges confronting the constituency and the nation at large.
“Democracy thrives when citizens remain hopeful, united, and committed to the ideals of good governance. I encourage our people to continue believing in a brighter future. Together, we can build an Apa/Agatu where opportunities abound, infrastructure improves, our youths are empowered, and our communities enjoy peace and development,” he said.
Engr. Eigege reaffirmed his commitment to selfless service, people-oriented representation, and the pursuit of policies that will improve the welfare of the people if entrusted with the mandate to represent the constituency at the National Assembly.
He further called on the people to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and actively participate in the democratic process, stressing that collective effort and unity of purpose remain the key to achieving sustainable development.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us honour the memories of our democratic heroes by strengthening our faith in the democratic process and working together for the progress of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency and Nigeria as a whole,” he added.
Happy Democracy Day to all Nigerians and the good people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency.
