….calls on Nigerian youths to overwhelming support President Tinubu’s 2027 re-election
The Bridge for Renewed Hope, a partner-group of City Boy Movement has felicitated with Nigerian youths on the occasion of International Youth Day, describing the Nigerian youth population as a powerful force in the nation’s economic transformation, political development and technological advancement.
Hon. Rowland Odih, former Director-General of Atiku Youth Wing and currently Director-General of The Bridge for Renewed Hope, in a goodwill message marking International Youth Day, commended Nigerian youths for their resilience, creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and contributions to national development, saying that the future of Nigeria depends largely on the ability of the country to harness the energy, talents and innovative capacity of its young population.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as significant interventions and investments in three critical areas of youth development: education and skills development, employment and entrepreneurship, and technology and digital innovation.
According to him, the Federal Government’s efforts to expand opportunities for young Nigerians through education, skills acquisition, employment initiatives and digital innovation demonstrate that the Tinubu administration recognises youths not merely as beneficiaries of government programmes but as important partners in building a prosperous Nigeria.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated through his policies and programmes that Nigerian youths are central to his vision for a stronger and more prosperous nation. His administration is investing in education and skills, creating opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship, and supporting the digital and technology ecosystem where our young people can compete globally,” Hon. Rowland said in a Wednesday statement made available to the press by the media office of The Bridge for Renewed Hope.
He noted that the rapid growth of Nigeria’s technology and creative sectors under President Tinubu provides enormous opportunities for young Nigerians, stressing that while Government’s responsibility is to create an enabling environment, youths must take advantage of available opportunities courtesy of the enabling environment to develop their skills and build sustainable enterprises.
Rowland further urged Nigerian youths to remain actively involved in national development, saying that their participation should extend beyond social media conversations, to education, entrepreneurship, community development and responsible political participation.
He said the 2027 Presidential election will provide Nigerian youths with another opportunity to determine the direction of the country and urged them to use their numerical strength wisely.
“Nigerian youths are in their tens of millions. That numerical strength must translate into political strength and responsible participation. I therefore call on Nigerian youths across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with their votes in tens of millions in the 2027 Presidential election.”
According to him, supporting President Tinubu in 2027 will amount to supporting the continuation and consolidation of policies that are already creating opportunities for young Nigerians.
Hon. Rowland maintained that President Tinubu deserves the support of Nigerian youths because the administration has demonstrated commitment to empowering young people and preparing them for the demands of the modern economy.
He also called on the Government to continue expanding youth-focused interventions, particularly in skills acquisition, education, technology, affordable financing, entrepreneurship and job creation.
“As we celebrate International Youth Day, my message to Nigerian youths is simple: believe in yourselves, acquire relevant skills, embrace innovation, remain peaceful and participate actively in the democratic process. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and the youths must occupy a central position in shaping its future,” he added.
Hon. Rowland congratulated Nigerian youths once again and urged them to remain united, patriotic and committed to the development of Nigeria, expressing optimism that with sustained Government investment and active youth participation, Nigeria will become one of the world’s leading economies.
