Achalla, Ibusa, in Oshimili North Local Government (LG) of Delta State is set for a new phase of development as the administration of the Executive Chairman of the Olorogun Innocent Esewezie, prepares for the groundbreaking ceremony of the proposed Achalla Cottage Hospital on Monday, September 28, 2026.
The landmark project is expected to
strengthen healthcare delivery in Achalla in Ibusa community , while providing residents with improved access to quality and affordable medical services closer to home.
The cottage hospital forms part of the administration’s drive to improve critical infrastructure and address basic healthcare needs across Oshimili North Local Government Area.
The project followed the inspection of the dilapidated Achalla Health Centre by Olorogun Esewezie in company of the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oshimili North and other stakeholders, where the need for a comprehensive upgrade of healthcare infrastructure in the community was identified.
Esewezie said his administration remained committed to translating its development agenda into tangible projects that directly impact the lives of residents, particularly in the areas of healthcare and social infrastructure.
The groundbreaking ceremony is therefore expected to mark the commencement of a major healthcare investment in Achalla, with residents and community stakeholders looking forward to the transformation of the existing healthcare landscape.
The development has been described as another step in the administration’s broader efforts to place Oshimili North on a sustainable path of infrastructural development, with emphasis on projects that respond to the needs of the people.
