Former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, has officially dumped the PDP for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He was registered in Ward 5, Calabar Municipality, where supporters welcomed him with loud cheers as he received his ADC membership card.
This is not Duke’s first party switch. He previously left the PDP for the SDP, where he even emerged as presidential candidate — a move that sparked serious debate nationwide.
Reacting to his defection, ADC leaders in Bakassi LGA called on Cross Riverians and Nigerians to join the party, describing it as a credible alternative to the ruling APC.
“We invite our family and friends who are still undecided to join the ADC today, as the party is poised to bring about transformative change in Nigeria,” the party said.
They also pledged loyalty to ADC national leaders Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, promising to build a strong and united party.
