King Charles Visits Canada
British royal father, King Charles, is due in Canada today as part of a visit to the North American country.
No official itinerary had been released regarding the visit but it comes at a time when Canada is fending off a stiff tariff regime imposed on the country by American President, Donald Trump.
Experts say King Charles has to balance his desire for warmer relations between his home country, Britain, and Canada, and the necessity to retain its prime relations with America, its former colony.

Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Arsenal Celebrate Soccer Victories
A major celebratory sports festival of sorts is holding in Britain today as Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Arsenal Female team celebrate their title victories.
While Liverpool celebrate their English Premier League victory for the current season, Palace are due to mark their Football Association (FA) Cup triumph for the season.
Arsenal Female team, on their part, are also celebrating their hard earned victory over otherwise indomitable Barcelona Football Club of Spain, which had dominated the UEFA Female league in the recent past .
Arsenal beat Barcelona by a solitary second half goal to lift the trophy, their first time in 18 years, and , this, became the only English team to have done so.
The weekend victory is the second for Arsenal at the continental level.

BBC Sports presenter, Gary Lineker, Calls Time
Legendary footballer and iconic sports presenter for the British Broadcasting Corporation,BBC, Gary Lineker, today formally resigned his job, after public criticisms of his social media comment that critics say smelt of Anti- Semitism.
Lineker, legend of English soccer( soccer is the original name of football which was invented by the British) apologized for the post, which he had since taken down, but expressed gratitude to his fans whose support, he said, had made the programme, Match of The Day, a great success.

French Leader , Macron, visits Vietnam on Asian tour
French President Emmanuel Macron, is beginning a visit to Vietnam today as part of his larger Asian tour that would also take him to Singapore and Indonesia, the World ‘s single biggest Muslim country.
The visit is the first by a French leader in around a decade, and is meant to stoke the embers of a lasting colonial relation with Vietnamese, whose country France had colonized for 70 years, until it was expelled in 1954.
Macron is expected to present France as a more dependable trading partner than either America, which had imposed a regime of stiff tariffs on the country, or China, which many Asians regard as a military bully .

Trump Calls Putin ‘crazy, Following Sustained Attacks on Ukraine
American President Donald Trump, Sunday night, described Russian strongman, Vladimir Viktor Putin as ‘crazy’ following Russia ‘s ceaseless military campaign on Ukraine.
Over the weekend, Russia reportedly fired over 500 drones and missiles at 31 Ukrainian cities, including its capital, Kiev.
The attacks killed no fewer than 12 persons, including two children, according to Ukrainian officials.
Reacting to the heightened attacks, Trump, in a media chat, described Putin as ‘crazy’ and criticized the avoidable deaths caused by the relentless assault.
He said that sanctions could be imposed on Russia if it continued the military assault.
Trump also had uncomplimentary remarks about Ukrainian President, Wladimyr Zelensky, whose mouth, he said, oozes with troublesome words.
Both Russia and Ukraine are negotiating an end to their three -year old conflict which began after Russia invaded its neighbour, over its increasing Pro- Western inclination.

54 Killed In Israeli Attacks on school, Residential Apartment
No fewer than 54 persons have been killed in overnight attacks on Gaza by Israeli military.
The attacks targeted a school housing displaced persons and a residential neighbourhood, according medical officials and the Hamas- run Gaza Government.
Rescuers said the charred remains of women and children littered the school after it was struck.
The body count there totalled at least 30.
A total of 19 civilians died when their residential apartment in Jabalia took a direct hit.
The attacks came just hours after Israel said it intended to occupy 75 per cent Gaza Strip, which, before the current conflict, was the most deadly populated area in the world.
Israeli military raids continued as aid trucks began their windy trip to northern Gaza, where famished residents on Sunday looted a few aid trucks that made it to the north of the enclave.
Meanwhile, sources said the head of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which Israel and America propose to take over humanitarian supplies in the enclave and the West Bank, had resigned, citing fears it could not meet the basic guidelines for objectivity and efficiency
