A senior lecturer at Bingham University in Nasarawa, Prof Musa Dankyau has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen from his residence in Jos South Local Government Area, Plateau State.
The abduction reportedly occurred on Monday night in SA Estate along Guratopp Road. Armed individuals invaded the area and forcibly took Prof Dankyau to an undisclosed location.
The incident has raised alarm within the local community and academic circles, prompting efforts aimed at securing the professor’s release.
According to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, “The incident occurred on Monday at about 9:30pm when armed assailants stormed SA Estate along Guratopp Road and whisked the professor away to an unknown destination.” He further stated that “a coordinated effort is ongoing to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.”
