Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has passed away.
The news of her death was announced on Friday by a family member via a social media post.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. From Allah we came and to Him we shall return. I wish to inform the public of the passing of my grandmother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who died a few hours ago,” the statement read.
The family described the late matriarch as a devoted mother and prayed for the repose of her soul, urging well-wishers to remember her in prayers.
