In his continued demonstration of putting smiles on the faces of human beings, former governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Senatorial District, Thursday continued his free distribution of empowernment programme in the Sokoto South Senatorial District of the State.
Wamakko, fondly discribed in Sokoto as a “Senator without Border’, was represented by the Sokoto All Progress Congress Party (APC) youth leader, Nasir Italy at the distribution ground in Bodinga town and reassured that, Wamakko remained a political father to all in the State.
Nasir, while noting that, the Senator Wamakko Constituency empowerment programme will reach each of the 3 Senatorial Districts of the State, added that, Senator Wamakko will continue to do more for humanity.
“We started this distribution of motorcycles, grains, water pumping and grinding machines in Kware local government area of Sokoto North Senatorial District. Now, we are in Bodinga, Sokoto South Senatorial District and we will soon be moving to Sokoto East Senatorial District for same empowernment”. Nasir Italy assured
Giving breakdown of the empowerment items, Nasir Italy said, they include
2000 bags of grains, 200 motorcycles, 210 Water Pumping machine and another 210 grinding machines which will be distributed to party loyalists, across the 7 local government areas of Sokoto South Senatorial District.
Sokoto South Senatorial District comprises of 7 local government areas which include, Bodinga, Tambuwal, Shagari, Yabo, Kebbe, Denge Shuni and Tureta with most of them having 11 Council Wards with few having 10.
The motorcycles were given to chairmen of local government social media, youth leaders of each of the 7 LGA, the 7 party chairmen, and the 7 LGA chairmen respectively
The pumping and grinding machines and the food stuff were to be left at the discretion of the APC local government chairmen who are to share same to party faithful within their domains.
In their separate goodwill mesages Sokoto ALGON Chairman, Abah Shehu Tambuwal, the Chairman of Denge Shuni Local Government, Aminu Magaji Bodai, APC Deputy National Youth Leader, Jamaludeen Kabir, as well as APC Zonal Women Leader, Zarau Ibrahim, and Hono Abubakar Shamaki Yabo, member Representing Yabo State Constituency praised Senator Wamakko for his unmatched humanitarian gestures.
On his part, the chairman of Shagari local government area, Abubakar Shagari Pakka admitted that, aside the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, Sir Ahmadu Bello, no politician in Sokoto that can be compared to Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
Registering their appreciation, one of the motorcycle beneficiaries, a 42 year old man who simply gave his name as Muhammad said, God has used Senator Wamakko to fulfill his age long prayer of owning a motorcycle, even as he wished the Senator long life and good health to continue the good gestures..
