– Re-elects Mgt Committee amidst stellar performance
It was a landmark day for the members of the Ika South Local Government Staff Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd, Agbor, Delta State, as they gathered on April 2, 2026, for their 22nd Annual General Meeting (AGM). The event, held in an atmosphere of transparency and celebration, saw the return of the incumbent Management Committee following a period of significant growth.
The proceedings commenced with an opening prayer led by Pastor Sunday Ozuor, setting a solemn and grateful tone for the day’s deliberations.
In his welcome address, the President of the Cooperative, Mr. J. I. Ibegbuna, highlighted the steady progress and various improvements the cooperative had recorded under his leadership. He credited the success to the collective discipline of the staff and the prudent management of resources.
The Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Ika South Local Government, Mr Berthrand Ojeh, in his remark applauded the good performance of the Cooperative. He noted that the Ika South LG Cooperative is currently ranked among the top two in Delta State, a testament to its integrity and efficiency. He urged members of the Cooperative to maintain the momentum and continue striving for excellence.
The administrative rigor of the society was on full display as the Secretary, Mrs. Okolie Virginia I., read the minutes of the previous AGM. This was followed by a comprehensive financial report and a detailed breakdown of the society’s accounts presented by a member of the management committee, ensuring all members were well-informed of the cooperative’s fiscal health.
In a goodwill message, the Ika South NULGE Chairman, Comrade Nwanma commended members of the Management Committee for their dedication. He cautioned them to safeguard the “sacred trust” of the Congress, emphasizing that the success of any cooperative rests on the confidence of its members. Other invited personnel also shared messages of support and encouragement.
Following a toast to the future of the Cooperative and a vote of thanks by Mr. Godwin Ezioukwu Okoh, the Congress expressed overwhelming satisfaction with the current leadership. In a unanimous show of support, the entire Management Committee was re-elected to continue their service.

Others are: Mrs. Aziken Mabel, Mr. Ozuor Sunday, Mr. Onyeocha Happy, and Mr. Okafor Nkemdilim.
In his appreciation speech, the re-elected President, Mr. Ibegbuna, thanked members for the renewed mandate and promised to reach even greater heights in the coming year. The meeting concluded with closing prayers, marking the end of a successful and harmonious 22nd AGM.
