228 Staff of the Public Complaints Commission in Benue State, have begun undergoing Biometric Identification and Data Verification Exercise. The exercise is being conducted by the Commission.
Meanwhile, the Honourable Federal Commissioner, Rt. Honourable James Ogaba Oche, has said the initiative is in line with the directive of the Honourable Chief Commissioner, Bashir Abubakar based on work ethics of the Commission.
The exercise, which involves identification of finger prints and facial identification of staff, requires staff to also tender originals of their educational qualifications, employment and last promotion letters as well as BVN and NIN.
The Honourable Federal Commissioner advised staff to be orderly and exhibit a high sense of sincirety. He warned staff to desist from impersonation by doing the exercise for others. Oche was assisted by the Management of the Commission, led by the Director of Investigation, Mr. Kpaakpa Terkura.
In a statement released by the Head of Publicity of the Commission, Orhemba Akura Charles, the exercise is aimed at ascertaining the exact number of staff so as to reposition the Commission towards enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
In their separate but similar remarks, Head of the Verification Team, Garba Nasiru Ibrahim, and Head of the Consultancy Firm Adam Sagir, said that they would carry out the exercise objectively. They, therefore, said that the exercise was not to witchount any staff.
