– Predicts over 10 million votes for President in 2027
City Boy Movement partner-group, the Bridge for Renewed Hope has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has a strong opportunity to secure at least one million votes in Osun State in the 2027 presidential election, following Governor Ademola Adeleke’s renewed endorsement of the President.
Hon. Rowland Odih, former Director-General of Atiku Youth Wing and currently Director-General of The Bridge for Renewed Hope, in a statement on Tuesday, said the political significance of Adeleke’s endorsement should not be underestimated, particularly coming after the Governor’s re-election in the August 15, 2026 Osun governorship election.
Governor Adeleke, who was declared winner of the election with 511,067 votes, subsequently reaffirmed his endorsement of President Tinubu for a second term, describing the President as a son of Osun State.
According to Hon. Rowland, the development creates an opportunity for the votes associated with Adeleke’s political structure and those supporting the APC and the President to combine their votes together to vote for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
“President Tinubu has a guaranteed about one million votes in Osun State as the various voter blocs supporting Governor Adeleke and the APC and President Tinubu expectedly cast their votes in the Presidential category of the January 16, 2027 elections. Adeleke has reaffirmed his support for President Tinubu, and that is a significant political development ahead of 2027,” Rowland said.
Rowland maintained that the goodwill generated by the President’s relationship with the Governor is effectively translating into presidential support, and that hence Osun will be one of the states contributing substantially to President Tinubu’s 2027 expected millions of votes and his imminent Presidential re-election.
He further predicted that President Tinubu will secure at least 10 million votes nationwide in the 2027 presidential election, arguing that the President’s incumbency, political structure and growing endorsements across the country will strengthen his re-election campaign.
