Why the Atiku / Amaechi / ADC Alliance is the Answer to APC’s Misery.
When I was a child, my father warned me: “Never submit your neck to a stranger, for you cannot tell if he will cut it off.”
That fear bred suspicion. I thought it was only my family. As I grew older, I realized it was the story of Nigeria itself, a nation where suspicion, hatred and distrust have been weaponized along ethnic and religious lines.
Ironically, those who preach unity from the podium are the very architects of our division. Our cherished family bond has been severed. Loyalty is now sealed with fetish oaths. Citizens are ostracized and denied opportunities because of where they come from or how they worship, while leaders focus only on how much they can steal to enrich their own bloodline at the expense of the downtrodden.
Where is our humanity?
In the midst of this darkness, one man has stood apart. His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, Waziri Adamawa.
Atiku is the nexus. He does not see Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba or Fulani, he sees God’s creation. He does not segregate. His closest friends, business partners and political allies are men and women from tribes and faiths different from his own.
At a time when Ndigbo were socially emasculated, politically persecuted, economically strangulated and deliberately traumatized by the political establishment, Atiku stood up and offered reprieve. He defended us when it was dangerous to do so.
It will not be wrong to call him the most detribalized Nigerian alive. While others painted his Igbo friends with hateful stereotypes, he saw dependable brothers. That is why in every quest for the Presidency, he has trusted an Igbo son as his running mate. It is not tokenism, it is love. As an in-law to Ndigbo, he has lived the sacred Igbo adage: “Ogo Mmadụ bụ Nwanne Ya” your in-law is your brother.
During the last campaign, he was the ONLY presidential candidate with the courage to promise the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu within 100 days a promise that gave hope to millions, even as the APC government left the young man languishing in detention to the consternation of the world. If elected, Atiku will review the unjust imprisonment of political prisoners and heal this nation.
Look at his record: Peter Obi, Ifeanyi Okowa, Senator Ben Obi, and now Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Even when the ticket did not materialize, Atiku honoured Senator Ben Obi by making him Chairman of the Board of the American University of Nigeria (AUN). Such is his implicit confidence and loyalty to friendship.
When Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi was viciously hounded by the APC after the 2023 primaries for refusing to endorse failure, it was Atiku Abubakar who came to his defence and the defence of the Nigerian people affirming our inalienable right to speak out after eleven years of suffering under Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Today, the truth is stark:
Today, Nigerians cannot sleep because they are hungry. And the APC cannot sleep because hungry Nigerians are awake, demanding an end to bad governance. They promised renewed hope, but delivered renewed hunger. Even their palliatives cannot calm frayed nerves. A revolution of the stomach is imminent.
How can Nigerians be pacified when:
– Petrol that sold for N187 now sells for N1,400 – N1,500
– A bag of rice that sold for N42,000 now sells for N80,000 – N100,000
– Beans that sold for N35,000 now sells for N150,000 – N180,000
– Cement that was N3,500 is now N12,500
– Cooking gas that was N320 per kg is now N2,200
– The Dollar that exchanged for N340 now exchanges for over N1,400
The workers’ take-home pay can no longer take them home. This is unacceptable. This is APC misery.
But hope is here. The rumored ATIKU/AMAECHI 2027 ticket under the ADC the African Democratic Congress is sending shockwaves into the heart of this clueless government. It is the coalition of the common man.
Atiku Abubakar, GCON, remains the most experienced, mature, and prepared leader with the large heart Nigeria needs. He is a father to the fatherless granting free education to the less privileged, to Chibok girls, and to victims displaced by Boko Haram. He is an epitome of peace who, when his boss President Obasanjo sought a third term, chose democracy over anarchy.
With Amaechi a former Speaker, two-term Governor, and transformative Minister by his side, this alliance will rebuild, reconstruct, rejuvenate and reposition Nigeria.
Under Atiku/Amaechi and the ADC:
The Igbo will reclaim their rightful place in Nigeria.
The North will blossom again.
Our girl-child will return to school.
Our economy will bounce back.
Peace, prosperity and justice will be restored.
We have waited long for a Pharaoh who knows Joseph. That Pharaoh is Atiku.
That is our dream. The affordable Nation. That is the dream of every patriotic Nigerian.
Congratulations to the new Nigeria that comes on May 29, 2027.
