The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) has announced the release of the results of the November/December 2025 NBC/NTC and ANBC/NANTC examinations, with 60 percent of candidates obtaining five credits and above, including Mathematics and English Language
Speaking to newsmen in Benin on Monday, NABTEB’s Registrar/CEO, Dr Muhammed Aminu Muhammed, said 61,591 candidates, comprising 34,185 male and 27,406 female registered for the examination in 2,079 centres.
“Out of 61,591 candidates who sat for the NBC/NTC examination, 34,060 obtained five credits, including Mathematics and English language,” he said
He said 54,009 candidates obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics, representing 94.74 percent.
Muhammed described the result as an improvement in overall performance compared to the 2024 examination.
He also disclosed that 259 candidates representing 0.42 percent were involved in examination malpractice.
Muhammed noted that the 2025 enrolment represents a significant increase of 28.42 percent in enrolment and 13.92 percent in the number of examinations centres, demonstrating the growing confidence in NABTEB examinations.
He said 61,591 candidates registered for the examinations, comprising 57,444 O-Level and 4,147 A-Level candidates.
He said the candidates were enrolled in 86 Trades and 19 General Education Subjects across both ordinary and advanced level certificate examinations.
“This performance shows a slight variation when compared to the 2024 November/December NBC/NTC and ANBC/ANTC examination results, where 29,880 candidates representing 67.56% obtained five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics, and 42,431 candidates representing 95.94% obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics and English Language.
