The Executive Council of the Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU) has condemned the vandalism and theft of properties at its secretariat following a break-in by suspected criminals.
The incident happened a few days after the NNU condemned the vandalisation of infrastructure meant to restore power to parts of Ndokwa nation.
In a public notice signed by the NNU Publicity Secretary, Comrade Odanike Azuka Justice, the union disclosed that unknown persons broke into the NNU Secretariat in the early hours of June 9, 2026, and carted away a 30KVA generator, fans, and other valuable items belonging to the organization.
Describing the incident as shocking and unfortunate, the union said the stolen items were collective assets of the Ndokwa people acquired to support community development and not personal property.
The NNU called on sons and daughters of Ndokwa Nation to remain vigilant and assist in identifying those responsible for the crime.
The union also appealed to anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators to contact the NNU leadership or relevant security agencies, stressing the need to protect the community’s common heritage and ensure justice is served.
