The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Engr Solomon Oloche Eigege, has called on politicians and stakeholders to embrace issue-based politics, stressing that integrity and sincerity remain the foundation of true leadership.
Speaking on the state of the nation’s political landscape, Oloche’woche noted that although politics is often perceived as a dirty game, individuals with genuine intentions can still participate honorably and make meaningful contributions to society.
According to him, “We can all play clean in the dirty environment of politics if our intentions are pure.” He emphasized that the quality of leadership a society gets is largely determined by the values and character of those who seek public office.
The ADC House of Representatives candidate for Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency maintained that politics should be a platform for service, development, and the advancement of the people’s welfare rather than a vehicle for personal enrichment and division.
Oloche’woche urged aspiring leaders and political actors to place the interests of the people above personal ambitions, adding that transparency, accountability, and compassion are essential ingredients for effective governance.
He reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing a people-oriented agenda focused on empowerment, infrastructure development, quality education, youth engagement, and improved livelihoods for the people of Apa and Agatu.
The frontline politician further encouraged citizens to remain hopeful and actively participate in the democratic process, insisting that positive change becomes possible when leaders are guided by honesty, vision, and a genuine desire to serve.
“As we continue this journey together, let us prove that politics can be practiced with dignity, respect, and integrity. Our intentions must remain pure, and our commitment must always be to the people,” he stated.
