DELTA ADC CONGRESSES TO HOLD APRIL 9–11
The Delta State leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed that the party’s congresses will proceed as scheduled from April 9 to 11, with the National Convention fixed for April 14.
This was contained in a statement issued in Asaba by the Secretary of the Delta State ADC Leadership Team, Hon. Emeka Ozegbe.
Ozegbe urged party faithful and supporters across the state to disregard any contrary claims, particularly an alleged announcement by one Austin Okolie, describing such actions as being against the overall interest of the party.
He emphasized that the responsibility for organizing congresses rests solely with the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), noting that state chapters are expected to comply with and implement directives from the national leadership.
According to him, this position was recently reiterated by the NWC during a meeting with state chairmen in Abuja.
Ozegbe therefore assured members that the congresses will hold as planned and called on all stakeholders to remain resolute, focused, and committed to ensuring hitch-free exercises across the state.
He further urged party members not to fall prey to actions of individuals opposed to the growing strength and prospects of the ADC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
