A sociocultural group, Gwandara youth Initiative has thrown its weight behind the candidature of FCT APC senatorial candidate, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda.
Rising from an emergency meeting in Orozo, a suburb of Abuja yesterday, the group said Aduda stands taller than the other contestants in the race.
The group said their support is based on the performances of Aduda who has been in the National Assembly before now and his record is there for all to assess.
The spokesman of the group, Zakaria Senanu said Aduda has touched the lives of residents while he was in the national legislature.
The forum promised to go into the nook and cranny of Abuja to sell the candidature of Aduda in the forthcoming election on January 16th next week.
The forum whose membership is drawn mostly from AMAC, Kuje, Bwari, and Gwagwalada Area councils promised to carry the campaign into the 6 Area councils and the 62 wards in the FCT.
According to the group, it is only Aduda that has been tested among the 18 contestants for the lone Senate seat.
They submitted that while he was in the 9th Senate, many residents irrespective of tribe, ethnicity or religion benefited from his constituency projects and appointments into Federal agencies.
Aduda who was the minority Chief Whip in the 9th Senate promised to deliver more dividends to both indigene and non-native residents in Abuja.
He reassured them of adequate representation when he goes back to the 11th Senate.
