The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, yesterday lauded the peace and unity prevalent among the Itsekiris’ and enjoined them to be strongly united for the growth and development of Iwere land.
The Senator who made the commendation while addressing the Itsekiri nation at the Olu of Warri Palace, also commended all Deltans for their purposeful endeavor to move the State forward.
The First Lady who spoke mostly in Itsekiri language, reminded the people that although they are not much in population, stressed that she is proud to speak in her mother’s tongue because of the love they have for each other. She however commended all the Kings within the area for always being there for the sake of love, unity, and exemplary character they have shown so far for each other.
According to her, Nigerians have to be united in order to forge ahead as a nation, adding, “God is not foolish for bringing us together”.
For instance you can see that God love all of us hence both Moslem and Christians started fasting both the observation of ramadam and lent together.
She commended Sheriff Oborevwori, Oni of Ife and other traditional rulers who accompanied her on the visit.
Also speaking, Governor Oborevwori who was accompanied by his wife, Tobore, top government officials described the first lady as a role model, sweet mother and lover of all.
Governor Oborevwori said he was highly elated over the encomium poured on the First Lady by Donald Trump during a prayer meeting held recently in America.
“Since you came on board as First Lady, you have visited Delta State thrice on a good mission, and this is a testimony that you loved all of us”
The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, thanked the first lady for visiting her people and promised that they will continue to support the present administration led by her husband.
