…..insists President Tinubu is the most capable Commander-in-Chief Nigeria needs beyond 2027
Hon. Rowland Odih has on Tuesday strongly criticised NNPP 2023 Presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over his “we will talk with terrorists” campaign comment he made during a July 20th 2026 Channels TV interview.
Hon. Rowland in a statement signed by the media office of The Bridge for Renewed Hope described the statement by Kwankwaso as dangerous, disappointing, and inconsistent with the resolve expected of anyone seeking to lead Nigeria in any capacity.
The former Atiku Youth Wing Director-General and now Director-General of The Bridge for Renewed Hope said that “at a time when Nigeria is making significant gains against criminal elements through co-ordinated security operations under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, any suggestion of negotiating with terrorists sends the wrong signal and risks undermining the sacrifices of the nation’s security personnel.”
According to the Director-General of Hon. Rowland, President Tinubu has demonstrated courage, determination, and strategic leadership as Commander-in-Chief by strengthening the country’s security architecture and providing unwavering support to the Armed Forces and other security agencies in the fight against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of violent crime.
“Leadership requires firmness in defending the sovereignty and security of the nation. Nigerians deserve a Commander-in-Chief who stands resolutely with our gallant troops against terrorism, not one whose comments could be interpreted as offering comfort to those who have inflicted untold pain on innocent citizens,” Hon. Rowland stated.
He maintained that “President Tinubu remains the best Commander-in-Chief Nigeria needs to consolidate the gains already being recorded in the fight against insecurity.” He insisted that “continuity of purposeful leadership such as President Tinubu is already offering, is essential to achieving lasting peace and national stability.”
Hon. Rowland therefore called on Nigerians to reject what he described as politics capable of weakening the country’s resolve against terrorism and instead rally behind President Tinubu and his Renewed Hope Agenda.
He urged citizens across the country to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
He expressed confidence that a renewed mandate for President Tinubu would enable the administration to further strengthen national security, deepen development, and sustain ongoing reforms for the benefit of all Nigerians.
