All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, alongside the Chairman of the party’s National Campaign Council and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday received the newly elected chairmen of the Federal Capital Territory Area Councils.
In a statement posted on its official X handle, the party said the chairmen were welcomed by its leadership, including members of the National Working Committee.
Reports indicate that candidates of the ruling party won five councils, while the Peoples Democratic Party secured one.
The African Democratic Congress, which hosts a coalition of opposition figures, failed to win any council seats.
The APC claimed victory in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, as well as Abaji, Kuje, Bwari, and Kwali Area Councils.
