Labour Party chieftain Abayomi Arabambi has said he has formally written to the National Youth Service Corps and the University of Nigeria over the documents, warning that he is prepared to pursue legal action if the institutions fail to respond.
Speaking on Arise News, Arabambi said his lawyer would send a reminder to the bodies, and that he was not begging them but would move to commit officials to prison if they failed to release the information he is seeking.
He said he first raised the certificate allegations publicly on Arise News in 2023, adding that he now regrets having voted for Obi then and would not do so again, while insisting the matter must ultimately be resolved beyond the media.
In Arabambi’s words: “I have written to NYSC, and my lawyer will write to them again, a reminder. We have written to the University of Nigeria. I am not begging them to release it, but once we give them a letter of reminder and they fail, we commit them to prison. This is our country. People must not be hiding information. I said this in 2023 — I wasted my vote then, which I am not going to do again.”
