…..Urges Retirees to Support Renewed Hope Agenda, Support President Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election bid
Hon. Rowland Odih, former Atiku Youth Wing Director-General and now Director-General of The Bridge for Renewed Hope, has on Saturday commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the payment of ₦39.63 billion in pension arrears to 24,814 retirees under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS). Hon. Rowland described the development as a remarkable demonstration of the President’s commitment to the welfare, dignity, and well-being of Nigerian pensioners.
Hon. Rowland stated that the clearance of the long-standing pension liabilities reflects the President Tinubu administration’s determination to address inherited challenges and ensure that retired public servants receive the benefits they earned through years of dedicated service to the nation.
According to him, “the intervention will provide relief to thousands of retirees and their families, restore confidence in the nation’s pension system, and reaffirm the Federal Government’s commitment to fulfilling its obligations to senior citizens.”
He noted in a statement signed by the media office of The Bridge for Renewed Hope, that “President Tinubu has continued to implement policies and reforms aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians across various sectors.” He further added that the payment of the outstanding pension arrears is another significant milestone under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Hon. Rowland Odih therefore called on retirees across both the public and private sectors to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He further emphasized that the administration’s reforms are laying the foundation for a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.
He further appealed to retirees and all well-meaning Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, expressing confidence that continuity in governance will enable the administration to consolidate on its achievements, strengthen the economy, improve social welfare, and deliver greater dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.
